Policiais da Delegacia Especializada de Repressão a Roubos a Bancos, Assaltos e Sequestros (Garras), prenderam na manhã desta terça-feira (6), em Corumbá, C. C. O., 44 anos, que mantinha na propriedade 39 cabeças de gado sem origem comprovada.
O gado foi localizado e apreendido em um caminhão que carregou os animais no Porto Geral, às margens do Rio Paraguai, com o apoio dos policiais da Delegacia Regional da Polícia Civil de Corumbá.
De acordo com informações, as equipes do Garras nos últimos dias estão realizando sobrevoos na região com intuito de localizar mais animais furtados no Pantanal Sul-Mato-Grossense.
As ações fazem parte da Operação Punch, deflagrada no município no final de junho pela Polícia Civil, com foco no combate e repressão ao abigeato, que é o fruto e o roubo de gado, que mantém o mercado ilegal de carne.
