Campo Grande (MS)- Faleceu na manhã desta terça-feira (13), aos 90 anos, o desembargador aposentado, ex-vereador e presidente da Câmara Municipal de Corumbá, Athayde Nery de Freitas.
Athayde estava internado desde domingo (11), após ar mal enquanto assistia ao jogo da final da Eurocopa pela televisão. De acordo com familiares, a causa da morte teria sido um problema de irrigação em uma veia no intestino.
Corumbaense da região do Morcego no Pantanal do Paiaguás , se mudou para São Paulo aos 18 anos de idade, cidade onde se formou em direito. Voltou para seu estado natal, e se tornou juiz e desembargador.
Athayde também tem seu reconhecimento político no estado, em Corumbá, sua cidade natal, foi vereador e presidente da Casa Barão de Vila Maria entre os anos de 1957 e 1959.
Athayde perdeu a esposa Vanda Viegas de Freitas há quatro meses e deixa seis filhos do casamento, 18 netos e 10 bisnetos.
O velório e sepultamento será realizado nesta quarta-feira (14), das 08hs às 10hs no Parque das Primaveras.
