O aumento do efetivo utilizado e do número de ações de fiscalizações feitas pela Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) durante a Operação Ano-Novo 2023 refletiu diretamente nos resultados obtidos no período de festividades. Segundo a PRF, o número de autuações de motoristas embriagados aumentou em 70%.
O reforço para a operação desse ano foi 44% maior que no ano ado. E o total de pessoas fiscalizadas foi de 56%. A quantidade de veículos parados foi 42% maior, na comparação com a operação realizada no período festivo entre 2021 e 2022.
“Os testes de alcoolemia realizados pelo órgão, popularmente conhecidos como testes de bafômetro, apresentaram um impressionante aumento. Houve um acréscimo de 77% nas medições aplicadas, em relação aos números do ano anterior. Como consequência, houve também um aumento de 70% no número de autuações de motoristas dirigindo embriagados”, informou a nota.
As ações de fiscalização retiraram das rodovias este ano 611 quilos de maconha, resultado 120% maior em relação ao que foi apreendido no ano ado.
A PRF informou que, este ano, as apreensões de cocaína foram as que apresentaram “aumento mais superlativo” em relação à última edição da operação. “O acréscimo de apreensões da droga foi impressionante 30.000%”, diz a nota. Na operação anterior haviam sido apreendidos 1,01 kg de cocaína, enquanto nesta, foram apreendidos 308,51 kg da droga.
A Agência Brasil entrou em contato com a PRF para esclarecer o total de cocaína apreendida em cada ano, mas até o fechamento da matéria não obteve retorno.
“No tocante à preservação da vida, da segurança e da incolumidade física e patrimonial da população, houve redução de 9% no número de acidentes graves, de 12% no número de mortes e de 31% no número de feridos nas rodovias e estradas federais, em relação à operação de 2021/22”, acrescentou a nota da PRF.
A Operação Ano-Novo 2023 teve início a meia-noite do dia 30 de dezembro de 2022 e término às 23h59min do dia 1º de janeiro de 2023. O objetivo da ação foi promover segurança viária, reduzindo número de acidentes, mortos e feridos nas rodovias e estradas federais.
