Na tarde desta terça-feira (19), um homem de 68 anos faleceu após sofrer queimaduras graves em uma explosão de etanol. O acidente aconteceu na cidade de Rio Negro, a 153 km de Campo Grande, enquanto a vítima realizava a pelagem de um porco.
Segundo o relato do filho da vítima à Depac (Delegacia de Pronto Atendimento Comunitário) do Cepol, o idoso utilizava etanol para remover os pelos do animal. Em um determinado momento, o galão contendo o produto inflamável explodiu, causando queimaduras de segundo grau em 45% do corpo do idoso.
Socorrido inicialmente em uma unidade de saúde local, ele foi posteriormente transferido para a Santa Casa da Capital. Apesar dos esforços médicos, a vítima não resistiu aos ferimentos e faleceu no início da noite.
