A Senatran (Secretaria Nacional de Trânsito) tem alertado para a proximidade do prazo final para condutores que possuem CNH (Carteira Nacional de Habilitação) nas categorias C, D e E renovarem o exame toxicológico.

Pelo escalonamento definido pela Senatran, quem possui CNH com vencimento entre os meses de janeiro e junho e ainda não realizou o exame toxicológico tem até 31 de março de 2024 para se regularizar. Já os condutores da mesma categoria, mas com a CNH vencendo entre julho e dezembro, têm até 30 de abril para fazerem o teste.

A não realização do exame toxicológico é considerada infração gravíssima pelo Código de Trânsito Brasileiro, com penalidade de multa de R$ 1.467,35 e sete pontos na CNH.

O descumprimento do prazo estabelecido será verificado diretamente pelos sistemas eletrônicos dos Detrans (Departamentos de Trânsito Estaduais). Isso significa que, após o trigésimo dia do vencimento do exame, o condutor poderá ser multado, caso caia em alguma ação de fiscalização, seja em vias urbanas ou rurais.

A Secretaria Nacional de Trânsito reforça que os condutores que não regularizarem a situação receberão multa mesmo que não estejam dirigindo veículos de categoria diferente.

De acordo com levantamento realizado pela Senatran em 20 de março, 2,4 milhões de motoristas das categorias C, D e E ainda não realizaram o exame toxicológico em todo o território nacional. A região Centro-Oeste concentra 242.991 mil destes condutores, sendo, 45.240 de Mato Grosso do Sul com exame toxicológico pendente.

Como saber se preciso renovar?

Tenha o aplicativo CDT no seu celular. Por meio da ferramenta a Senatran tem emitido alertas, e também é possível fazer a consulta. Basta ar a área do condutor, clicar no botão “Exame Toxicológico”, e conferir o prazo que aparece a tela. Caso o exame esteja vencido, basta procurar um laboratório credenciado.
