Uma operação conjunta entre a Polícia Civil de Mato Grosso do Sul, o Centro Integrado de Operações de Fronteira (Ciof) e o Centro de Cooperação Policial Internacional (CI) prendeu um traficante de 57 anos, procurado pela Interpol, nesta quarta-feira, 4 de setembro, no centro de Corumbá.

A ação foi coordenada pela Delegacia Especializada de Repressão a Roubos a Bancos, Assaltos e Sequestros (GARRAS) e a 1ª Delegacia de Corumbá. Investigadores do GARRAS receberam informações sobre o paradeiro do traficante, condenado a mais de 19 anos de prisão pela Justiça Federal de Uberaba (MG), por tráfico internacional de drogas e associação para o tráfico. O criminoso também possuía um mandado de prisão internacional, conhecido como Difusão Vermelha.

Com apoio do Ciof, vinculado ao Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública, e do CI, gerido pela Polícia Federal, as equipes policiais conseguiram localizar e monitorar o suspeito. Após identificar seu endereço, as forças policiais cumpriram o mandado de prisão preventiva.

No momento da prisão, o traficante, identificado como V.H.S.C., não resistiu e confirmou sua identidade. Ele foi conduzido à 1ª Delegacia da Polícia Civil de Corumbá, onde foram realizadas as formalidades legais para sua detenção.
