Equipes do Gaeco (Grupo de Atuação Especial de Repressão ao Crime Organizado) realizaram uma operação de busca e apreensão na manhã desta quarta-feira (30) em diversos pontos da cidade de Ivinhema, Mato Grosso do Sul, incluindo a residência do prefeito reeleito Juliano Ferro (PSDB). A operação visa investigar suposta omissão de bens à Justiça Eleitoral, entre outras possíveis irregularidades.
A operação inclui mandados em locais associados ao prefeito e também à família de Luan Vinicius da Silva Matos, empresário que teve uma caminhonete de luxo apreendida na recente Operação Defray, da Polícia Federal.
Equipes foram vistas na residência de Ferro, em um dos supermercados da rede Alvorada, no centro da cidade, além da casa da proprietária do estabelecimento. Além disso, há indícios de que um vereador eleito, que também atua como policial militar, seria alvo da investigação, com o apoio da Corregedoria da PM para o cumprimento dos mandados.
Entre os bens investigados está uma caminhonete Silverado preta, avaliada em R$ 519 mil, anteriormente de posse de Juliano Ferro e posteriormente transferida para Luan Vinicius da Silva Matos. Este último postou em redes sociais uma declaração em tom de deboche após a apreensão do veículo, mas posteriormente negou qualquer desrespeito à polícia.
A caminhonete Silverado preta e uma Dodge RAM, ambas de valor elevado, são alvo de investigação sobre possível omissão de bens nas declarações feitas pelo prefeito à Justiça Eleitoral. Segundo a defesa de Ferro, ambos os veículos não foram registrados em seu nome, motivo pelo qual não constam em sua declaração de bens.
O Ministério Público ainda não divulgou detalhes sobre o andamento da operação, enquanto a defesa de Ferro informou que o prefeito está cooperando com a investigação e nega irregularidades.
