Corumbá (MS)- Corumbá , vai sediar o Campeonato Metropolitano de Xadrez no próximo dia 3 de maio, a partir das 13h30. O evento que segundo informações irá garantir uma vaga direta para Final Estadual Absoluto de Xadrez, ocorre no próximo dia 03 de maio (sábado).
Já a final Estadual, está prevista para o mês de dezembro e reserva uma premiação total de R$ 10 mil reais.
A competição é realizado por meio de uma parceria entre o Clube de Xadrez Pantanal, representado por Augusto Cesar Samaniego, o 6º BPM de Corumbá, comandado pelo Major Waldir Roloff Júnior, e a Federação Sul-Mato-Grossense de Xadrez (Fesmax), presidida por Ricardo Miguel Dualibi.

A disputa será realizada pelo sistema suíço, com cinco rodadas. Os jogos usarão relógios analógicos com 20 minutos ou digitais com 15 minutos e cinco segundos de acréscimo por lance.
Além de troféus e medalhas personalizadas patrocinadas pelo projeto Chess And Kids, haverá premiação em dinheiro para os três primeiros colocados:
